Tourism in lima

Lima used to be only a stopover for tourists who wanted to visit Cusco or Nasca, the two major tourist attractions of Peru. However, thanks to the sustained growth of the Peruvian economy and the work done by its authorities and inhabitants to recover the city, Lima is now an attractive tourist place for visitors, who can found in Lima a city with all the advantages of a modern metropolis and also full of history and tradition.

A lot of visitors in Lima are entrepreneurs or executives who come to town on business plans. They stay in luxurious hotels that are located in most commercial districts of the city, San Isidro and Miraflores. Miraflores and San Isidro are the most modern districts of the city where are located the most important and fancy hotels, shopping malls and public places of the city. They are located in front of the Pacific Ocean and have a privileged view of the sea from a beautiful cliff full of vegetation and parks called "La Costa Verde", which is an excellent place to play sports, running or just walking and watch the sun go down while surfers enjoy their favorite sport in the beaches.

The latest tourist attraction that has been successfully enhanced in the city, and perhaps the most important in the coming years, is its cuisine.

Thanks to the contribution of the Japanese, Italian, African and Chinese people who migrated to Peru during the 19th century, the Peruvian cuisine is one of the most varied and delicious in the world. An all this variety get together in Lima, where you can fine any dish from different regions of the country with a high standard of quality. Major hotels and restaurants are clustered in such a way that made Peruvian food a symbol of pride and an experience that any visitor should miss for anything in the world. Moreover, in September of each year, APEGA (The Peruvian Gastronomic Association) holds a food fair called "MISTURA" with the most renowned restaurants in the country and international guests that each year attracts thousands of people who can eat the dishes of the best restaurants and chefs of Peru at affordable prices.
